1.Core and slice the apple.
2. Put into flameproof dish with squash.
3.Poach in centre of moderate oven (350 degrees F or Gas mark 4) until tender.
4.About 15 - 20 minutes.
5.Toast bread on one side only.
6.Spread untoasted side with cheese and arrange apple slices on top.
7.Sprinkle with cinnamon and baste with a little juice remaining in the dish.
8.Lightly brown under grill.
