1.Place the bay leaf in the base of a loaf dish.
2.Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour the mixture into the loaf dish.
3.Cover loosely with cling film and heat on full power for 5-6 minutes.
4.Reduce to defrost and heat for a further 18-20 minutes.
5.Wrap the loaf in foil and leave to stand for ten minutes.
6.Allow to cool completely before serving.
7.Turn out of the dish and serve with salad and wholemeal bread.
8.N.B. The flavour of the loaf improves if left in the refrigerator overnight.
